Stephen is currently leading the introduction of preventative maintenance across the British Airways fleet – a project he was selected for in early 2025.
Stephen has 30 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance, joining British Airways as an apprentice in 1995 before working his way up to the position of Full B1 Licenced Aircraft Engineer with Airbus A320 and Boeing 767 cover.
After completing an Aeronautical Engineering Degree in 2008 he moved into technical support, focusing on engines. Here, Stephen became a Part 21 Design Certification Verification Engineer on British Airways’ Powerplant Operational Support desk. In this role, he became involved in engine performance trend analysis, monitoring data from key engine systems, and arranging for maintenance to be carried out to address any trend shifts identified.
