Mike’s aviation dream started at his northern Minnesota hometown of East Grand Forks while watching B-52’s, B-1’s, and KC-135’s fly overhead from the neighbouring Grand Forks Air Force Base.

His dream became reality when he started his aviation career at Northwest Airlines in 2002 as a DC-10 Avionics Engineer Co-op while working towards his Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Minnesota.

Mike has held aviation positions ranging from engineer to business development manager at Northwest Airlines, American Airlines, Goodrich, UTC Aerospace Systems, and most recently as the Manager of Connected Aircraft Engineering at Delta Air Lines, part of the larger Predictive Maintenance organisation.

He is proud to be a founding member of the Predictive Maintenance team at Delta Air Lines, which started in 2015.

He is passionate about the democratisation of aircraft sensor data and the savings the industry has been able to achieve utilising this data.
