David Harper is Fleet Support Director, Customer and Product Support Operations for GE Aviation. He leads teams located in the US and China that deliver 24/7 product support and digital tools for airlines. These teams provide a wide array of services from managing engine data, monitoring engine operations, and predicting maintenance needs for fleets worldwide.
These services help improve engine performance and time on wing, which drives operational stability for airlines. Fleet Support does this by combining jet engine technical expertise with advanced digital technologies and data analytics throughout the engine lifecycle.
As a senior engineer, David has more than 30 years of experience in the aviation and energy sectors. He has held a variety of engineering roles in the UK, France and the U.S. for Alstom and GE, always at the forefront of new technology, connecting people and ideas to find innovative ways to satisfy customers’ needs.
David graduated in 1990 with an M.A. degree in Engineering from Cambridge University, England, specializing in turbomachinery.
