Neil Ambidge has over 15 years’ experience in commercial aviation technical and project management, with broad knowledge across Part M, Part 145 and Part 21, within an airline. Over the past 8 years Neil initially became Principal Engineer Systems and in 2015 progressed to his current role of Head of Fleet Technical Management. Under this role Neil also took on the responsibility of Head of Design and deputy Part M Post Holder in addition to his CVE approval.
Neil leads a vast engineering team accountable for Technical Management (Avionics, Systems and Structures), Maintenance Programmes, Reliability, Technical Information Services, Warranty, E-Enabling / eOperations, Fleet Support, Graduate Programme and VAA design organisation, across 5 wide-bodied fleet types (A330, A340, 747, 787 and A350). Neil has developed strong technical, commercial, regulatory and leadership experience, ensuring his team deliver safe and efficient engineering support.
Neil is currently leading a transformation programme, reviewing the technology and processes Engineering & Maintenance use. Part of this review is assessing opportunities to embrace future technologies that enable predictive maintenance.
